Capturing emotion...

I kept this part of Aleine & Matt's day separate because, well,  it deserved it. As a photographer, particularly one who shoots as photo journalistic, un-posed and candid as possible, sometimes capturing "true emotion" all depends on if the true emotion presents itself in the first place. Shortly after their "first look" session, Aleine grabs me and says "Hey, I need you to come into the Caboose with us. I have something for Matt and want to surprise him."

So I'm walking into the Caboose at Columbia Station thinking, she probably got him a nice watch or maybe some big honeymoon surprise trip...It turns out Matt's Mom had already passed and is no longer with us.  Aleine and Matt's father secretly had his mother's wedding ring turned into a pendant for Aleine to wear as a necklace & she waited until their wedding day to tell & show him. I'm not sure who watered up more at this moment, myself or Matt but I managed to capture this touching private moment with watery vision and quite frankly, was honored to do so...

Aleine & Matt: 2 first looks and a party...

It's been a crazy 2015 so far. Wedding season is in high gear and I'm pretty amazed at the 2016 inquiries & bookings already. Danielle, Kaylee, Dominique, Jen & Michelle are just a few that have their ducks in a row for '16 with recent bookings for Steven Serge Photography in the last days... Call or email today to ensure your date is still available...On to Aleine & Matt: WOW! I always joke that wedding days are the fastest day of your life but this was Ferrari fast. That's how you know you're having an amazing day. First looks with them, then first looks with her Dad (that's how you get 2 first looks in a day), we took a breather at a local bar that looks like it was another first look set up and then a reception at Columbia Station in Pheonixville PA that didn't skip a beat. Here's some highlights while I get back to editing 2 previous weddings and get ready for back to back weddings this weekend at the Scranton Cultural Center Friday and a lovely Chapman Lake ceremony in Scott Township on Saturday.

Cheers!  - Steve (570) 815-6880
